This is the name that has been given recently to those making a stand against a rapist – who not only is totally unrepentant; but has set out to make his crime cause as much offence and undermine his victim at every turn. His arrogance towards the judge, the jury and the law seems to know no bounds. His supporters have named and given the location of his victim, They have insulted, threatened, stalked and now bought a way into a job for him.
But those who make a moral stand, sign petitions. call for public accountability are the mob!
Ched has now made an apology of sorts, not for raping, which he still doesn’t seem to understand, but for upset caused by the fallout. Quite clearly written by his legal team, it is hard to believe any of the comments are that genuine. Thankfully he has condoned the threats made, and so now the story shifts to one threat made by someone, totally unknown towards the daughter of one of the staff. Apparently the police have contacted the club and no complaints have yet been made to them, so it gives more credence to those condemning the mob! Over 60,000 have signed the petition this time and others spoken out against supporting sex offenders. Yet one complaint makes us the mob. So much fr morality.
I know that words change their definitions with the passage of time, but this is farcical.
Yes its always called mob justice when its when they disagree, but free speech when they dont!!..the fact that so many signed the petition, has no effect…the fact that so many of our “fair play” nation were not going to accept such a “role model” for our children is ignored too! Hypocrisy..

I remember when you were attacked and was struck by your courage and your determination not to be cowed by that horrible experience. I do hope that you personally had nothing to do with the threats of violence and rape made against Oldham staff and their families.
I have never threatened anyone with rape or violence. Nor do I condone anyone who has, and I find it deeply sad that anyone would think that I had.

Like Jill, I think the comment made by David Thomas is offensive.
From what I can see, we’re losing sight of some basic principles here. The footballer in the news claims it wasn’t rape because it was consensual. We have also heard that the victim was thoroughly intoxicated at the time.
How on earth can anyone give informed and meaningful consent when intoxicated?!?
If someone had sold him a duff insurance policy or whatever when he was intoxicated he would have been the first to complain that the deal should be declared null and void on the grounds that he was intoxicated.
Anyone who believes that anyone can give meaningful consent in this situation is a complete moron. Any decent person would look out for the girl and see that she was safe and unmolested. If she then makes an invitation when sober the next day then that is a different matter.
To my mind anyone that has sex with an intoxicated stranger, unable to give meaningful consent, is a rapist and should take the consequences.
For the culprit to claim that the victim gave consent in these circumstances is pure drivel. It is the mark of a snivelling coward.
Shame on him and shame on those that insult Jill and millions of other decent people.

Thank you
